Add Drama To Your Home With Pendant Lights

If it is time to re-invent your home decor, why not do it by changing your lighting concepts. One of the great additions that you can do to your home is by adding pendant lights in different rooms.
Pendant lights can be used in any room of your home. Here are but a few great uses for pendant lights to get you started on ways to update your home:
In a child's room

Have a child that has now graduated to a teenager, find out what colors they want to use in their bedroom then search for some pendant lights that would look great. For a girls room, there are some great stained glass looks that would work great over a dresser area or how about as a light near their bed. You could even create separate areas in the teen's room for them. For example a reading or studying area, gaming area, or how about a dressing area. Have your child help you get creative with the updated design of their bedrooms, this will help them to personalize it and make it "their" room.
In the living room

Have a small living room and you need to add in some lamps, instead of using large end tables, you can use smaller tables then simply have pendant lights hanging above them. This will light up the area and add plenty of color and light for your living room. If you want to add a touch of class, you can even go with a stained glass style that will add a Victorian style to your room.
The dining room

For many people, the dining room is the simplest room to decorate, however, if you can't find just the right chandelier to hang over your table. That's okay, why not use more than one light. You could use 3 of the pendant lights that are of the same style or change it up to add even more drama to your lighting concept. For example use two of the same color or style than one of another or go wild and do 3 different ones but have at least one thing similar about them, maybe the color of the metal finish.
In the kitchen

Using pendant lights can be really fun in the kitchen especially if you have an open floor plan that may open up into a family room or den area. By using pendant lights, it can actually help divide the two areas a little bit.
If you have themed your kitchen, you can use a color from your theme to create the perfect lighting. Above the sink area or a breakfast bar.
For a small kitchen area, you may want to consider using mini pendant lights for your kitchen. This will actually help to make the room look larger. You could use several pendant lights and stagger them above your kitchen cabinets to create lighting areas for the areas that you work in the most.
