Lavish Canopy Beds for the Right Interior Design

In this article we are little bit explaining about lavish canopy bed, if you are just starting out on the road to becoming an interior designer then let me share a few home truths with you. Rarely will you be employed to express yourself freely in some client’s house? Most of the time, you will be seen as a project manager with taste. Until you are incredibly successful the chances are that clients will employ you to recreate somebody else’s design that they have seen in a magazine or at somebody else’s home.

This isn’t the end of the world there are still plenty of areas within a design brief where you can make your mark and show off what you are capable of.  One of the design “looks” that I am most frequently asked to recreate, in the bedrooms of my clients, is one that includes a lavish canopy bed or four poster bed. For some reason, this piece of furniture is the most obvious choice if you want to make a statement of wealth in your house. I say “for some reason” because personally I find the choice rather unimaginative and think that there are much cooler ways of saying “I’m loaded”.

If you have a client looking to include canopy beds then do take a moment to consider a few things first. Finding the right lavish canopy bed for the right bedroom is not an easy thing. They are very bold pieces of furniture and really take over a room.

Check with your client that they are willing, and have the funds, to buy the extra fixtures and fittings, like complimentary bedroom furniture, drapes, and lighting, that will be needed to complete the overall design. Certainly, dissuade a client from placing a lavish canopy bed in a room that is too small. There are some very skilled interior designers out there who can create their own bed canopies look without buying the full four poster bed. This can create a very unique look in clients home, however, you do have to ask yourself one question.

How skilled are you at this stage? Creating your own lavish canopy bed will not only require some great visualization but a good deal of physical savvy too. If you have it then great if not make sure you have a workman/woman who has.
